No Tax Credit

In the end, my bright shiny new roadster really did not come with a federal $7,500 tax credit.  For 2009, my personal tax situation did not qualify me to use the credit.  With this credit, you cannot carry it forward to future years.  I should have read the fine print in regards to type of income needed and had better coordination between my investment advisor and tax people.

  1. Sounds like a poorly written tax incentive policy. The purpose of a tax incentives is to change consumer behavior, not to impact income distribution.
